SSbD25 Conference

Join SSbD25 - the biggest yearly conference on SSbD!

Welcome to the second edition of the yearly SSbD conference, where researchers, industry and policymakers meet to discuss topics related to Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD).

Following the success of the SSbD24 Conference External link. in Monte Verità, Switzerland, this year’s event continues to build momentum for the growing SSbD community.

The SSbD25 Conference is organized by the IRISS SSbD Community and will take place from November 10-12, 2025, in Zurich, Switzerland. The event will be hosted at the Empa-Akademie, the dedicated conference facility of Empa – Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology.

Call for abstracts

Oral presentation submissions are now closed. Submissions for poster presentations will be accepted until October 15, 2025 (23:59 CEST). Please send your poster abstract to
ssbd-conference@ivl.se. We welcome contributions from all fields of research, industry, and policy.
