Mistra SafeChem Phase 1 - Final Webinar

Are you interested in learning about ways to promote and enable a green and sustainable chemical industry that is safe for both humans and the environment? The Mistra SafeChem programme has conducted research in this area for over four years and is now ready to present its findings, insights, and highlights. Welcome to the final webinar of Mistra SafeChem Phase 1.

Mistra SafeChem is a research programme that aims to create a sustainable chemical industry and reduce exposure to hazardous substances. It is financed by Mistra, The Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research, was granted in 2019 and runs from 2020 to 2024.

The vision of Mistra SafeChem is to enable and promote the expansion of a safe, sustainable and green chemical industry.

Agenda items for the webinar include:

• Early warning and proactivity: Experimental and computational tools
• Catalytic and bio-catalytic processes for a safe, sustainable and green chemical industry
• Towards a circular and bio-based economy: Recycling and valorisation of raw materials
• Life cycle assessment including exposure and (eco)toxicity assessment of chemicals along the full value chain.
• Panel discussion: Next steps towards safe and efficient chemistry by design
