Call for abstracts
The SSbD25 conference aims to provide a discussion forum for experts from various relevant fields and sectors who are already working or considering working with implementation of the Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design concept. We welcome contributions from all fields of research, industry and policy.
Topics could address:
- Frameworks and concepts relevant for SSbD (e.g., green and sustainable chemistry, Safe-by-Design chemicals and materials.)
- Safety and sustainability assessments throughout the innovation process.
- Methods and tools for SSbD assessment.
- Emerging concepts (e.g., social and economic assessments within SSbD, absolute sustainability assessments, consideration of trade-offs.)
- SSbD case studies.
- Science-policy-industry dialogue.
The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to: July 15, 2025. Please indicate if you would prefer an oral presentation or a poster.
Abstract details
The abstract should contain the following:
Title: Maximum 200 characters (please spell out abbreviations)
Abstract: Maximum 2,500 characters (including spaces)
The abstract can be submitted as a word or a pdf file.

Date: no later than July 15, 2025 (23:59 CEST)
Feedback on your abstract is expected by August 15.
